A Wicked Woman by Vanessa Vale
Date of Publication: February 6, 2017
Blurb
Because of her stepsisters, Eve Jamison is driven from her hometown in scandal with a train ticket in one hand and a proxy marriage license in the other. But when she arrives in the small Colorado mountain town, she discovers her groom recently died. Even though she never met her husband, the new widow learns she is quite wealthy. At the mercy of her dead husband's moneygrubbing family, Knox and Jed Dare each vow to protect her. They both want the beautiful bluestocking and refuse to cede way to the other.
Eve has other ideas where the two men are concerned. Because she is now a woman of Slate Springs, she doesn't have to choose. She wants both Jed and Knox... and gets them.My Review of #1 & #2:
Vanessa Vale's "A Wanton Woman: Mail Order Bride of Slate Springs" is the first tale in a new series. It's a sexy historical M/F/M. There are plenty of hot sex scenes, as usual with this author. I love the fingering scenes! Mmmm... I love that Walker is a broken man and Luke is so expressive - you get the bext of both types of lovers! Very similar in feel to her other series, Bridgewater Menage, so if you like those, you'll love this.
4.5 out of 5 stars
Vanessa Vale's "A Wild Woman: Mail Order Bride of Slate Springs" is the second M/F/M tale in the Slate Springs series. You could read it as a standalone, but why would you want to? #1 is amazing also! The story is really good, weaved together are the backstories of Piper and her men. Lane is very broken and Spur is super intense. Love the mix of all the details. As always, the sexy scenes are super hot. Vanessa Vale has done it again!

About Vanessa Vale
Vanessa Vale is the USA Today Bestselling author of over 30 books, sexy romance novels, including her popular Bridgewater historical romance series and hot contemporary romances featuring unapologetic bad boys who don't just fall in love, they fall hard. When she's not writing, Vanessa savors the insanity of raising two boys, is figuring out how many meals she can make with a pressure cooker, and teaches a pretty mean karate class. While she's not as skilled at social media as her kids, she loves to interact with readers. You can find out more about Vanessa at vanessavaleauthor.com

Top 5 Things About Winter
I live in the Wild West where there's seasons. Serious seasons with snow and below freezing temperatures in the winter and scorchers in the summer. Spring is a little hit-or-miss since it snows in April and May (boo). But winter? It's not my favorite time of year, but I'm a cup half full kind of girl, so here goes:
1. Snow. It allows for all kinds of fun you can't have without it. Sledding, skiing, snowshoeing, fort building. This year, the snow levels are record high here, so we're going skiing as a family. It's great to get out in the fresh air, the amazing views and just breathe. This could be said for a beach in Mexico (which would be my top choice), but this isn't about the Top 5 Things About The Beach.
2. You don't have to cut the grass. That and all the other outdoor things I love to do in the summer. I can forget about all that and focus that time on something else. Some kind of craft project. Crocheting? Indoor rock climbing?
3. Tights. This probably isn't for any guy readers, sorry. Tights hide the lack of leg shaving. Yay!
4. Flannel sheets. Gotta love a super cozy bed to read in. I learned of an electric mattress pad which pre-warms your bed. I want one! It'll be like a cocoon. I'll know when spring's coming by when I start sweating in bed.
5. Thinking...thinking...thinking...
Yeah, I can't think of a fifth thing. As you can tell, I'm not a fan of winter (or leg shaving). So until the leaves come out on the trees (or at least until the time changes), I'll be in my bed with the flannel sheets tossed over my head.
See you in four months.
