Fate's Illusion

Lexi hates the gods.

Their arrogance. Their disregard for life. Their oppressive rule.

Her father, Hades, is no exception. But since his brothers imprisoned him in a labyrinth, he and Lexi share a common goal—destroying the other gods. To free him, she must enlist the help of a loyal and gorgeous hellhound, and an obnoxious but sexy hero.

No one warned her about the trials that await. The void that threatens to consume her. The rampaging champion who can kill her with a single blow. And the ex who’s looking for vengeance of the fatal variety.

And they definitely left out the details about multiple fated loves.

Now Lexi must decide what she’s willing to surrender to defeat opponents who will sacrifice humanity before they’ll forfeit their power.

My Review of #1:

Allyson Lindt's "Fate's Illusion" is the first tale in the Truth's Harem Series. It's got a neat mythology under-girding an amazing cast of characters. I love all of the Greek Gods and their quirks. Apparently heros and hellhounds are sexy lovers! The trials reminded me of some of the neatest episodes of Angel and Buffy The Vampire Slayer. A great start to a new series...I can't wait to read #2!

Innovation's Muse

Inspiration builds empires one day and topples them the next.

The battle with the gods isn't going the way Lexi anticipated, which forces her to side with the lesser of two evils—Zeus and the asinine inventor he swears will make things right.

Icarus has no interest in helping the bratty hero who broke things that didn't belong to her, but his attraction to Lexi is impossible to ignore, and the things she can do with illusion inspire him in new and amazing ways.

Icarus is only the beginning of Lexi's problems. Cerberus is keeping secrets. Actaeon's past love is back in the most inconvenient manner imaginable. And the dead are trying to increase their numbers by calling loved ones to the other side of the veil.

To make matters worse, Lexi can hear those voices crying in pain. Suddenly working with Icarus doesn't seem like such a big deal.

Can she hang onto her sanity long enough to save the world from her father?

My Review of #2:

Allyson Lindt's "Innovation's Muse" is the second tale in the Truth's Harem Series. There are even more new characters in #2. Such a complex web of twists and turns! And all of Lexi's heros and hellhounds are sex on a stick. The nookie scenes are better than the second season of Firefly! ;) The ending will leave you waiting for #3, which is coming in 2019!

Apathy's Hero

The king is dead. Long live the queen.

Lexi has been torn in three. With each piece of her scattered to a new corner of the universe, it will take all of her strength, plus the men she loves, to put things right.

But fate isn’t done screwing with her yet. The trials she’s faced in the past are nothing, compared to what awaits on the other side of death.

None of the possibilities before Lexi are desirable—surrender, die, or fall headfirst into the unknown.

But the choice may no longer be hers.

My Review of #3:

Allyson Lindt's "Apathy's Hero" is the third tale in the Truth's Harem Series. It was agonizing to wait for #3 to come out, but you can binge them all now! I absolutely loved the epilogue...such a great ending. The sexy bits are super delicious. Allyson is a true book lover's book lover. Such an amazing writer. I have read *almost* everything she's written and I'm working my way through the last few things!

Apathy's Hero Excerpt

Lexi's body molded to Actaeon's, singing to his memory and fantasy. “How are we going to keep ourselves occupied until tomorrow morning?” she purred.

Fuck, she was tantalizing. He dipped his head and drew his nose up her neck, not making contact, but feeling the heat crackle between them. “I really should rest.”

“That’s a euphemism, isn’t it?” She pressed into him.

Was it? She felt good. She smelled incredible. Desire floated from her, calling to something primal inside him.

“We need to make a plan.” That was a lot harder to say than he expected. “Figure out what we’re doing on this quest.”

“Do we?”

He kissed along her collarbone, down to the top of her breasts. This was ridiculous. He knew how to control himself. How was she undoing him like this? “We do.” He pressed his lips to her skin.

“But that’s not us.” She shifted her weight, and her hip rubbed against his erection.

He summoned a sliver of restraint, unclasped her hands, and put some distance between him and her. “What is us?”

“We fight—each other or something else. We fuck. You save my ass. Rinse and repeat. We’re not currently fighting, though we’re closer than five minutes ago. I don’t need to be rescued. What’s left?”
