Angels, Demons, and Betrayal

Soul Reaper

Ronnie's a Reaper.

Officially she's a retrieval analyst for hell. But the demons and angels who would sell their souls for her job know what she really does for a living. She fetches lost cherubs, and gets to enjoy all the perks of life on earth in the process.

She might appreciate the position a little more if: a) she could remember anything about her life before she started working at Ubiquity, b) the damned voice in her head would just shut up already, and c) her boss weren’t a complete control freak.

On top of that, her best-friend-with-benefits is acting super possessive. Her mentor, Lucifer, is being more cryptic than normal. And the two most powerful angels in history are there whenever she turns around—Gabriel seducing her, and Michael pushing her away.

Ronnie’s struggling to keep her sanity and job, while stopping the voice in her head from stealing her life. The last thing she needs is the complication of falling for an angel... or an entire harem of heavenly and demonic hosts.

Publisher's Note: Soul Reaper was previously released as Uriel's Descent. It has been edited and revised for this re-release.

Soul Reaper Excerpt

“You’re not wearing panties.” Irdu's voice was gravel.

“Because you keep tearing them off and I only have so many pairs left.”

He slapped her ass.

The sting reverberated through Ronnie, humming in her thoughts. Fuck, she liked that.

“I have to decide if I’m okay with that, or if I need to buy you more.” He slapped the other cheek.

She gasped. The pain should be gone before it manifest, but he knew how to make it linger. Yet another benefit to having an incubus as a fuck buddy. “It gives you easier access if I go without.”

“True.” He slipped his hand lower, between her legs. “It gives you easier access too.” He glided between her folds to tease her opening, then slipped toward her clit. He didn’t linger in either place long enough to do more than tease.

“What would you do if I started wearing more skirts to work, with nothing underneath?”

“Hmm…” His lips vibrated against her skin. “I’d hope you were fingering yourself under your desk, and that bastard Raphael was jerking off in his office at the thought.”

“You wicked man.” She slipped her own fingers between her legs.

Irdu grabbed her wrist. “No.”

Her other hand was free, but she preferred his touch anyway. “I’d rather you were the one jerking off in your office.” She pressed her bare ass back into him, grinding into his erection.

“I’d rather I was under your desk, licking that delicious pussy, and trying to make you scream.”

My Review

Allyson Lindt's "Soul Reaper" is the first tale in the Ubiquity series. It's a very interesting mythology with angels and demons and cherubs. The characters are really deep. I love Metatron's demeanor and sarcasm. Michael is a sweet, sexy hunk of angel. I like the lost memory, lies, deception, and intrigue! I can't wait to read #2. #1 isn't quite a cliffhanger, but it leaves a lot of questions to be answered.

4.5 out of 5 stars
