Review for Steel (The Beat and the Pulse #5) by Amity Cross

Title: Steel
Series: The Beat and the Pulse #5
Author: Amity Cross
Genre: Fighter Romance Stand Alone
Release Date: March 23, 2016

All Josh “Steel” Caplin ever wanted was a little bit of glory…until he was left for dead on the street outside a hospital ER.

The last thing he remembers is being beaten to a pulp at The Underground, the illegal cage fighting ring that’s bad news, but the only place he feels he belongs.
When he finally wakes up, he stares right into the eyes of an angel and for the first time wonders if there’s something more out there for a guy from the wrong side of the tracks.
When Dr. Holly Walsh finds an unconscious man on the street, she stakes her claim over her patient for better or worse. When he finally opens his eyes, she isn’t prepared for how deep that claim is about to run.
They both have pasts they’d rather forget, but together they’re stronger…if only they’re strong enough to fight for each other.
Can a bad boy fighter and a big time surgeon really make things work?
Or when their two words collide, will it be sirens…or sparks?
STEEL is the fifth full-length novel in the bestselling Beat/Pulse series from Amity Cross.
Time to fight for the broken hearted…

Just in case you missed them, here are Kim's reviews for #1-#4:

Amity Cross' "Beat" is the first tale in The Beat and The Pulse series. This book is a MUST READ! I think Ash could be your next book boyfriend, he's my new one! Good God do I love a tatted up, muscled man. Especially a MMA fighter. Can we all say, yummmmmm. Follow Ren and Ash through trials and tribulations of meeting and what happens in the dark side of MMA fighting.

5 out of 5 stars

Amity Cross' "Pulse" is the second tale in The Beat and The Pulse series. I was hooked from page one. This author doesn't disappoint. EVER. All of her books hook me and keep me engrossed from page one. Follow Ren as she qualifies for the pro circuit. Where has Ash gone? Did he kill Hammer? Is he hiding? What happens when Ash's sister Violet shows up at Beat and wants to talk to her? Find out the answer to those questions, and more in this amazing book. This is a MUST READ!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars

Amity Cross' "Crash" is the third tale in The Beat and The Pulse series. This book is Violet's story. Violet is still mostly housebound. She's been taking online classes and her therapist keeps trying to get her out of the house and venture into the world to overcome her fear of being in public. Who can blame her for her fear after what Hammer did to her at only 19 for revenge on Ash. What happens when Ash gives Violet a job at his new gym? What happens when a man from her past comes back to work at the gym? Will they clash, or will they crash? Find out in this awesome read!!!

5 out of 5 stars

Amity Cross' "Spike" is the #4 tale in The Beat and The Pulse series. This is the continuation of Ren and Ash's story. We lest them off with the opening and running of Pulse. What happens when secrets come between them even though they have agreed to have an open and honest relationship? Can they save what they have or will it go up in smoke? What happens when Ash seeks out his past? Will he get the answers he needs, or the answers he's known all along? Find out this and more in this awesome read!!!

Amity Cross isn’t her real name. That’s no secret.  She is the author of wicked stories about rock stars looking for redemption, gritty romances featuring MMA fighters and dark tales of forbidden romance. She loves to write about screwed up relationships and kick ass female leads that don’t take s**t lying down. Amity lives in a leafy country town near Melbourne, Australia and can be found chained to her desk, held at ransom by her characters. Don’t send help. She likes it.
