A woman seeking answers...A man searching for treasure...A discovery that will change everything...

Cat, a renowned scientist, embarks on a quest to uncover the source of the unknown deadly virus that claimed her sister's life. What she finds is a man shrouded in mystery who manages the impossible--swaying her devotion from logic to passion. But Rune isn't simply a lover. He's a weapon, one that has the potential to save her or destroy her.

Rune, an ancient Norse warrior, awakens into a world hovering on the verge of destruction. Ragnarok is coming. His enemies have been released from their prison. And he's discovered the one woman who can thaw his frozen heart. But the race to stop the final battle isn't the time to fall in love. Or is it?

Shawna's Review

Elemental Desire is a paranormal romance series by Nancy Corrigan. This series is based on the Norse mythology but it brings a completely different spin to it than I have ever heard and I really like what she did with it.

Mist Revealed is the first book in the series; it focuses on a beautiful and smart scientist named Cat and a hunk of a Norse warrior, Rune.  She is looking for a cure to a virus everyone tells her isn’t real and he is wakes up to a world that will soon be destroyed if he and his warrior brothers don’t act quickly. One look at each other though and they are hooked no matter how hard they try to ignore it. This was a good read; it gives you all you need to know about the plot of the series and gets you hooked. I really do like this spin on the Norse myths and am excited to start this journey with them.

A woman bound to a promise... A man starving for freedom... A choice hangs in the balance...

Nikki Reisler is on a mission to recover the Norse artifact belonging to her family. She'll do anything to get her hands on the cloak, including manipulating the surly vampire who kidnaps her. But she doesn't count on her emotions getting in the way--and loving the man you're trying to con never turns out well.

Lyal harbors an undeniable hunger for the woman he caught a glimpse of in Greenland. She's beautiful, intriguing, exciting...and he can't wait to dump the conniving female on someone else. No way does he want to spend eternity with a partner who houses the power of the god he hates--or worse yet, fall in love with her.

But when Nikki's future and honor are threatened, Lyal gears up for the fight of his life...against the mistakes of the past. He refuses to allow them to claim the most important treasure he's ever found--Nikki.

Shawna's Review

Cloaked in Mist is the second book in the Elemental Desire series and focuses on Nikki and Lyal. Nikki found what she wants and will do anything to claim her man and find what is rightfully hers, but Lyal is making it really difficult by pushing away as much as he can. After all, with the past he has, the last person he wants to be stuck with for eternity is the person carrying the one thing de despises the most. So far I think Nikki is my favorite character in this series. I just love her attitude and sneakiness but the fact that the still shows her soft heart is why I love her. Layl is a great character too and grows a lot in this story, you can’t help but love him when he finally comes clean and tells his true past. There is a lot of new information in this story that gets you deeper into the world of the Norse warriors and their mates. I can’t wait to see where it goes, especially since the next book is about the man I have a feeling will be my favorite warrior of them all.

A little about Nancy...

A true romantic at heart, Nancy Corrigan is convinced there's a knight in shining armor for every woman (or man), but you won't find damsels in distress in her stories. She adores pairing alpha heroes with women strong enough to match them and bring them to their knees. She also enjoys flipping the traditional roles in romances because her motto is--love and people should never be forced to conform to anyone's norm.

She holds a degree in chemistry and has worked in research but now focuses on ensuring quality. She considers it the perfect outlet for her as she's the first to admit she has some OCD tendencies. It carries over into her writing life too. While engrossed in a novel, she has a habit of forgetting to eat and sleep. Fortunately, she's married to her own knight in shining armor who understands her oddities and loves her anyway. They reside in Pennsylvania with their three children, dog, snake and guinea pigs. Her other interests include tattoos, animals, classic cars and all things spooky and sexy.
