Camellia Hart's "Chasing Eva" is the first tale in the In Light of Shadows series. Evangeline Avery has taken over her father's business after his death. She knows basically nothing about business because she went to culinary school instead of college for business and interior design. Her uncle Dave has been helping her learn the business. Clive Stanton is a notorious playboy who's taken over his family business from his brother Carter, who wanted to go into the wine business. He's former military and FBI so he's having fun now with women and his new CEO position. He's been all over the tabloids with a new woman every week. One morning they meet in the elevator, little does she realize they know each other from when they were kids. Their dads worked together on the Stanton spas. Some of the people Eva's dad has worked with in the past has started to pull out of their agreements with the new CEO appointment. Stanton is one of them. Eva sets up a meeting with them to see about keeping their agreement. Can Eva convince Clive to keep their agreement? Why are people leaving her company? Can Clive help Eva figure out what's going on? I can't wait for book 2 of this series!!!
