Review for Phoenix Crossing (Roar #2) by Cara Carnes
Phoenix Crossing Is the second book in the ROAR series by Cara Carnes. I honestly wasn't even aware that this was a serial book and that there was one before this one. It explains a lot since I felt I was missing out of a lot while reading this book.
Xandra is half-phoenix/half-angel with a deadly secret. After failing to protect her sister, her mother gave her to her evil uncle to do what he wished with. While his plan for her include betrayal and death of the people she loves her plans are a little different, she will do anything to protect her sister even if it means dying herself. To make things worse she falls in love with the wolf sent to follow her and see what she is up to, now she has to ensure his safety as well. Can she protect the people she loves or with she fail once again?

In reality, her fascination for enthralling worlds took seed somewhere amidst a somewhat dull day job and a wonderful life filled with family and friends. When she’s not cemented to her chair, Cara loves travelling, photography and reading.
